Cockatoo Hill Retreat is located mid-way between Cape Tribulation and Port Douglas. The property comprises 4 thatch-roof Tree Houses and a traditional Balinese style pavilion. Crafted from local timbers there's a snake bar, created from 142 individual cuts of rosewood Mahogany. A cascading waterfall is an intricate part of the freshwater, wet-edge swimming pool - complete with pool bar for those tepid, tropical evenings.

Crossing the Daintree River by car-ferry is like stepping back in time. Your days can be spent beach-combing drift wood, or wandering naked along a isolated tropical beach. Combine your holiday with beach-life, rainforest emersion, swimming, reading and relaxing. When said and done, take a charter boat and go dive the Great Barrier Reef.
